Have you ever randomly heard an old song in your head? You know you haven’t heard the song in years, but you can clearly hear it. Maybe lyrics come to mind, but you can’t place them? When this happens, you’re channeling that song, because it has a message for you.
Here are two examples of when I’ve channeled songs and what they each meant for me.
Sometimes, the message is just for fun or just to confirm you’re on the right track. After a conversation with someone, I was looking at a birth chart in TimePassages for indications of what we were talking about. In this case, it was involving romantic relationships. After sending off my interpretation of the birth chart, I randomly heard in my head, “I’m not a player, I just crush a lot". I immediately cracked up, because I haven’t heard that song in years!
In another example, my sister sent me a picture taken in June, just before I started losing weight. When I looked at the picture, I heard, “That was then, this is now.” I didn’t remember any other lyrics or what the song was about. So, I listened to it to see what the message was. The song is talking about not being trusted in a relationship because of the actions of their partner’s ex. They’re saying that they’re nothing like that previous partner, so they should be trusted instead of being compared to someone else. This was a very emotional moment for me, because I am working on building self-trust. I am learning to love myself, and not to be so critical of every move I make. The channeled song was to tell me that I’m not going to let myself down or abandon my own needs the way I have in the past.
These are just two examples of channeled messages through song lyrics. This is something I’ve always done and never given much thought. If you can relate, maybe start paying attention to what you hear. See if you can figure out what the message is, and how it can help you. I recommend listening to the song in its entirety, because the lyrics you get may not contain the full message. That was definitely the case for me in the second example. In other cases, it just might be for fun or to say you’re right about something, like in the first example. Either way, this is a powerful gift.
